As a designer at the RR/CC of LA County, our team’s projects range from social media content to large-scale editorial print that get sent out to voters all over Los Angeles. This section of my portfolio highlights some of the work so far: including infographics, mailers, product branding, signage, and displays; social media posts, certificates, and posters.

Ballot Processing Center

Badges

The Los Angeles County Ballot Processing Center is a state-of-the-art facility that is utilized to tally votes for every election conducted within LA County. This facility is open to the public, which was the initial spark for this simple but important project. Election integrity and security is a high priority for LA County, so it was essential to create badges for every visitor coming into the facility. Three badge types were created to quickly identify who was inside - Media for news, television, reporters, etc. Observer for members of the public who come in to observe the ballot counting process. Visitor for those invited by LA County to tour and learn about our elections.

STEAM

Logo Design

RR/CC hosted an annual STEAM event for 2024, and a new logo was created to match the year’s theme: Rocketing STEAM Careers and Education. The goal of this branding was to be fun, bright, and colorful, as the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) event is designed for kids aged 9-16. “Full STEAM Ahead” aims to inspire young minds, ignite curiosity, and explore the fascinating world of STEAM careers and education.

2022

Election Snapshot

This 4-page infographic was created to highlight the important statistics and milestones of LA County Elections in 2022. Data was organized from vote centers, voter registration, language requests, voter preferences, and more. The last page compares statistics from the 2018 General and Primary elections to see how the County has progressed over the years. To see the video paired with this infographic, click here. Ballot Language

Request Mailer

This mailer is sent out to every registered voter in LA County, allowing for anyone to request their future ballots in one of 18 languages. The goal with this project was to condense all necessary messaging into a few sentences in order to have every available language visible on the mailer itself.

We collaborated with the Department of Human Resources to assist in updating their “Faces of Los Angeles County” webpage. Our work included the shoot set up, lighting, photography, backdrop matching, and photo editing for this project. See all the photos at Faces of LA County.
